Ons kan met groot dank terugdink aan die SAGES gebeure van die afgelope jaar. Lief en leed sal maar altyd deel wees van mens-wees, maar steeds is ons bevoorreg met die seëninge wat ons ervaar. As bestuur wil ons elkeen van u en u gesinslede ‘n geseënde Kersfees en voorspoedige nuwejaar toewens. Mag God sy hand van seën en genade oor elkeen van u hou gedurende die feestyd en die nuwe jaar wat voorlê.
We can all look back at the past year with appreciation. Love and sadness will always be part of our lives but we must cherish the wonderful times we had experienced. As management, we wish all of you and your families a Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year, God bless you all.
Die jaar word afgesluit met talle gholf aktiwiteite waaronder die volgende: Quite a number activities took place over the latter part of the year.
CAPE MINI EAST LONDON / KAAP MINI – OOS LONDON 2015.

The Cape Mini Nationals was hosted by the Border branch on 26th and 27th October at East London Country Club. Border did themselves proud in all aspects of the event. We had a bit of rain before the first tee-off, thereafter we had two glorious days with a little wind in the latter part of the day. A field of 84 players, represented by eight branches and three members of the NMC, battled it out on a challenging golf course. Baie goeie gholf met nie minder as veertien spog twees was behaal deur die vier-en-tagtig spelers oor die twee dae se spel. Geluk aan die wenners van die onderskeie twee dae, sowel as die wenners van die trofee van die Kaap se takke. Die uitslae was as volg:
Soos vermeld het dit kort voor vlaghysing gereën maar daarna was dit twee heerlike dae se gholf wat deur almal terdee geniet was. As mentioned it rained before flag raising could take place, but splendid weather was enjoyed during the tournament. |

CANSA / KANSA: The 2015 Sanlam/CANSA Challenge is something of the past. From the information at hand, the remittance forms received to date indicate that our branches are doing well. The contributions for 2015 will be taken in account for 2016. Baie dankie aan ons takke wat reeds die bewyse van hul bydrae deurgestuur het, dit lyk belowend! Ek vertrou dat ons weereens ‘n hoogtepunt sal bereik en ons staal sal wys met die fondsinsameling vir KANSA met die 2016 Sanlam/KANSA uitdaag-toernooi. 2016 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS / NASIONALE KAMPIOENSKAP The 2016 SAGES National Championship will be hosted by Jimmy Gowans branch on both Randburg courses during the week of 6 - 10 th June 2016 Die 2016 Nasionale kampioenskap word gehou in Johannesburg, Randburg, tydens die week van 6 tot 10 Junie 2016 en Jimmy Gowans tak is die gasheer
NAMIBIA INTERTAK BYEENKOMS/ NAMIBIA INTERBRANCH TOURNAMENT Namibia het vanjaar hul dertigste Intertak toernooi vanaf die 2de tot die 6de November te Rossmund Gholf Klub net buite Swakopmund aangebied. Wat ‘n ervaring om op lowergroen skoonvelde, wat met woestynsand omring is, te kon speel. As ‘n mens egter in die sand beland, het jy probleme want die sand is los en ‘n mens speel baie maklik onderdeur die bal en vorder nie vêr nie. Die Namibiers is baie gasvry en het ons hartlik verwelkom. Dankie ook aan Tim wat sy woonstel gratis aan my en Peet Roets beskikbaar gestel het.
What a wonderful experience it was to share the opportunity with our fellow SAGES Namibia in playing at Rossmund Golf Club outside Swakopmund. A real jewel with lush green fairways amid the desert sand – just keep out of the sand!
