2015 NATIONALS TOURNAMENT:
The 39th SAGES National Tournament, was hosted by Kouga branch at the St Francis Bay and St Francis Links. Both clubs, represented by Willie Uys and Jeff Clause respectively, went out of their way to welcome our SAGES members, and even made structural changes to their buildings to accommodate the number of players. Each and every golf cart in the area was summoned to comply in the demand for carts.
It was a challenging task to field two hundred and sixty four players on both courses, splitting the teams between the two courses to even out playing conditions, for which I applaud Jeff Clause. It was a great experience to play these two challenging courses, which were in an excellent condition. The courses where set up to enable the not so long hitters to reach the fairways with a rewarding shot, especially in windy conditions such as experienced during the first two days of the tournament. Thought was even given to postpone Tuesdays play to Wednesday due to a strong wind. Fortunately it was decided not to, as Wednesday was met with even stronger windy conditions.
The format of the first two days of the tournament being betterball combined was won by Waterberg with a score of 85 points, while the combined fourball score, was won by Eastern Free State counting out Lower South Coast on 165 points. The final two days are played individually with a gross/nett score in the A division, and stableford points in all the other divisions.

CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS / KAMPIOENSKAP UITSLAE:The results of the different divisions are as follows: Die uitslae van die onderskeie afdelings is as volg:
