My dank en waardering aan Piet Ludick, Voorsitter van LSC, en sy span wat verseker het dat alles vlot verloop het met die Natal Mini-kampioenskappe. Baie dankie aan die kaptein en bestuur van albei Margate en Port Shepstone gholfklubs dat SAGES van jul fasiliteite gebruik kon maak. Beide bane was in ‘n uitstekende toestand.

3. CANSA / KANSA:

Most of the branches will be hosting their Sanlam/CANSA days in the second half of the year. I urge each and every branch and member to better their previous contributions for the past two years to CANSA. Only through hard work and dedication can we achieve these efforts for a worthy cause. Branches can sell Peet Roets books as an additional contribution to their CANSA funds.  

Meeste van ons takke hou hul Sanlam/KANSA dae gedurende die tweede helfte van die jaar. Ek vertrou dat ons SAGES takke en lede met toeweiding en harde werk sal verbeter op die bydraes van die vorige twee jaar. Die boekie van Peet Roets kan ook deur takke verkoop word ter stuiwing van hul KANSA fonds bydrae.  

4. WEB SITE / WEB-NUUSBLAD:

The website had been completely re-designed under supervision of our National Secretary Elfie Alston and it is a have-to-be-seen-to- believe presentation. He will inform all the branches when the new website is launched. Please note that constrictions have been placed for confidential information such as minutes of meetings which will only be accessible to selected people. All branch newsletters will be posted regularly on the website if they have been received.

Die Nasionale Sekretaris Elfie Alston, het toegesien dat die webblad in geheel opgegradeer is. Hy sal al die takke in kennis stel sodra die webblad toeganklik sal wees aan almal. Daar is egter sekere inligting soos notule van vergaderings wat slegs toeganklik sal wees aan geselektiewe persone. Nuusbriewe van die takke sal op die webblad geplaas word indien hulle ingestuur word.

5. BRANCH NEWSLETTERS COMPETITION / TAK NUUSBRIEWE KOMPETISIE

Branch newsletters will be evaluated by three judges, under supervision of the National President on eight different criteria which includes, branch news, humour, impact  and information. The winning branch for 2015, will be announced during April 2016. All branches are encouraged to regularly submit their newsletters to the National Vice President as well as the Secretary who will place the same on the website.

I must compliment some of our branches for the vast improvement of the quality of their newsletters since the induction of this initiative resulting them in a pleasure to read.

Takke se nuusbriewe word deur drie beoordeellaars geevalueer deur middel van agt verskillende kriteria soos bv, inligting, humor, impak en inligting om ‘n wenner te bepaal vir 2015. Die wen tak sal gedurende April 2016 bekend gemaak word. Takke moet asseblief gereeld hul nuusbriewe deurstuur aan die Nasionale President en die Sekretaris wie hulle op die webblad sal plaas.

Die inlugting vervat in die nuusbriewe is van onskatbare waarde vir lesers, en die humor, impak en uitleg van sommige nuusbriewe, is 'n plesier om te lees. Sedert die bekendstelling van hierdie nuusbrief kompetisie is daar ‘n merkbare verbetering in die gehalte van die nuusbriewe!
